PASTA SAUCE

I pronounce it paster!

This is the ingredients for Lurking pasta sauce

First off take some good ole water and measure out 3/4 cup.
Pour into large pot and put on high heat
Now dice up up 8 or so Romano tomatoes and chuck em in the pot
Next cut up a stick of celery into little pieces and chuck em in
boil up
empty a small jar of artichoke hearts into the boiling mess
Dice a 1/4 of green pepper and red pepper chuck em in
Dice up 1/4 of an onion and chuck it in
Now empty a small can of chopped olives
Play your PS3 for 10, then get back to the kitchen
5 table spoons of some nice aged balsamic vinager
pepper to taste
dill weed
a splash of olive oil
now empty a small can of tomato paste
and chuck in a good handful of baby spinach

hit up the PS3 for a good hour or two while the mix is cooking on a ow heat.

Make up your fave pasta and fry it up with the sauce, Kill the party.

Last week I went over to the KNOWSHOW trade show in Vancouver to do some live painting courtesy of NIXON canada. It was a great show full of good peeps, I managed to get three paintings done which was a treat. The lovely gents from Nixon were nice enough to put my girl and me up at a sick hotel downtown Vancouver called Le slolie (see photos of lobby). After we made ourselves comfortable we got some eats with some good friends at ZAKUSHI on Denman St right downtown, I always go here when I'm in Van, its a charcoal grill style Japanese restraunt, I ate chicken hearts!!!!!

We then went on to FORTUNE SOUND CLUB to watch a couple of DJs battle it out and battle they did, please do yourself a favor and know what is happening at this club, they have a night for everyone, even hip hop karaoke. Thanks to GMAN and Dirk at Nixon, also props to Geoff Dermer for being rad and Kerry Mcall for being drunk, oh and Amanda for keeping the red stripes real hazy.

So, here is the clock I'm doing for the useless wooden toys show (see below). So stoked on this event. In the next couple of months the clocks, from all the various artists involved, will be up for the bidding wars of ebay. All money raised goes to the "Skate for Cancer" foundation. I highly recomend you also check out Furni creations - find them in google. Furni makes amazing designer decor, clocks etc. All their gadgets are named after pro skateboarders from, lets just say "the golden years". This clock is the Mullen.

Well, the live painting show at DNA went well; unfortunately, I had a little too much liquid courage before I got there and couldn't complete the painting. I sold a bunch of little ones though, which was cool. Thanks too all. The night got messy after that some laughs were had and some tears were shed. Man, I keep forgetting to post new info on my blog and I feel mighty bad. No really, I do. I have been crazy busy doing lots of other things like photography, tattooing, buying a house, relaxing, being lazy, farting, a little healthy masturbating, and wondering why I'm going bald. This all takes up a lot of my time as you would imagine.
Well, here is the news for the last little while, I sealed a deal with TAGUR shoes and will have my own limited edition shoes released late spring. Should look good because I did 'em. At the end of summer I relaxed a little with painting and concentrated a lot of my efforts into tattooing, my other income, though, during this time I managed to be talked into doing T-shirts for Pauls Boutique in Vancouver, DNA in Nanaimo, and Off the Hook in Montreal. Phew.
I started up a skateboard company with my friend, Geoff Dermer. I'm the art director in that particular mess and I'm loving it. We are getting carzy positive response out in the barracks. http://kitschskateboards.com check it. I've been doing a few smaller custom pieces for friends and I have nearly completed 6 new larger paintings for the new year. I'll keep the world posted on the location. One thing's for sure though, there will be a private show in my home gallery, for arse kissers only. I just finished two paintings for Antisocial in Vancouver, they will be up for auction to raise money for the Lee Matasi skatepark. Check Antisocial in Van for more info, search google you'll find em. Early next year I will also have paintings hanging in Courtney, BC. More info to come. Also, right now in the works are plush Lurker Dolls (sorry Nikki, I'll get on it), and clocks for a show in Montreal. Speaking of my home from home, I may also be doing another show at "Off the HOOK" and "Art in the Park", makes me sleepy thinking about it but a man has to hustle.

As soon as I typed this title I had to go and put Bowie on. Montreal was great. The family and I had a right-old vacation. The city is so alive, even when it's freezing out-and by Montreal's standards it was warm. The art show at 'off the hook' was literally of the hook. Thanks to everyone involved and thanks to Tim Barnard. I sold some pieces, made some friends, and crushed my enemies: very British. So...I got the ol' show coming up on Thursday night, and I hope lots of you ingrates will be attending. It's at DNA skatestore at the Old City Quarter, Nanaimo. It's on December 1st at 7pm and will go on untill 10pm, whence we will go and enjoy brews at the local pub. This painting is for Redbull Canada, they have it hanging in their main office. I drank so much Redbull that I was ill for days. Mixing that shit with vodka has to be the worst thing for you, but it gets you hammered so fast. When I contacted them and told them that the painting was ready they were all over sending me some free drinks, not feeling it lads sorry.

Sketches not from Spain

So, I thought I should include some sketches to show how things are working out. I very rarely would use a sketch before a painting, but lately I have been doing so more and more. Some of these sketches are from a few years ago, they have either turned into paintings, or have been an inspiration towards finished pieces. The long sketch is for a painting hanging in my friends office, but the final piece ended up looking way different. He should be pretty stoked to see this. TV is shouting at me right now so I should go see what all the fricken commotion is about.

Whilst in Montreal, I got the chance to do some painting on a brand spanking new pair of Etnies shoes. First time I had the chance to do somethimg like this, and I was happy with the results. Hopefully they can hook me with a pair for my upcoming show in December, I just realised that there is a typo on the poster as it's supoosed to read "Fitzwilliam St." not Fitwilliam. Shit, whatever. Montreal

So, my first time out of BC found me thick in the grasps of a very different culture indeed, French Canadians. Let me say right now that I loved it. A month ago I went to Montreal to hook up with my sponsors, say the regular 'what ups' do the bones thing, and get me some painting done. Oli and Mer the twins from heaven and hell held a live painting show to raise money and awareness for "War Child Canada". Basically, a bunch of painters get together and produce some art, people buy tickets and we raise money from a raffle. Real good times indeed, check the photos and if you are in the Montreal area next summer be sure to check it out, you wont be disappointed. The event is called 'Art in the park' and will be held during the Saint Laurent Street sale (last one of the year). Thanks to WE clothing Drop bags and Etnies for helping me out.
